Bangor Savings Bank Wealth Management Relationship Support Specialist in Bangor, Maine

Working under the direction and guidelines established by the Wealth Management Support Manager, the Relationship Support Specialist (RSS) is primarily responsible for supporting the Relationship Management Team. This position provides critical support in account maintenance and administration as well as cross team and department functions. This position delivers exceptional client experience to the Bank’s internal and external clients. The RSS will also be working on special BWM projects.

Relationship Management

  • Complies with the Bank’s client experience standards in all respects;

  • Independently handles time sensitive transactions responses for client relationships;

  • Maintains electronic file (Synergy) to ensure it is current and accurate;

  • Timely and accurately enters transactions submitted by the Relationship Management Team and on behalf of clients;

  • Provides friendly and responsive service to department phone and email line, including follow up;

  • Opens and closes accounts, including production and compilation of electronic file;

  • Provides proactive day to day administrative services to the Relationship Management Team;

  • Works seamlessly with Trust Administration Team to ensure delivery of exceptional client experience and effective trust administration;

  • Responsible for production and client delivery of necessary tax documents for Relationship Management Team;

  • May assist with preparation for the Trust Administrative Committee (TAC);

  • Owns assigned projects, acting as project lead and seeing through to completion;

  • Responsible for managing behaviors and activities in pursuit of assigned annual goals.

  • Utilize internal tools (CRM, ReferralTracker, etc) to maintain all client information.

Other

  • Creates, monitors, maintains and analyzes various system and tracking reports (referral tracking, client contact reports, account reviews, etc.) to ensure transparency and progress in connection with filing requirements, BWM projects, and progress expectations in general. Make recommendations on the basis of analysis of report results;

  • Makes recommendations to streamline processes and gain efficiencies for the BWM;

  • Special projects as assigned;

  • Participates in community and corporate events that support and promote BSB;

  • Interact harmoniously with others in a team environment.

Compliance and Control

  • Assists in ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations and that appropriate risk management measures are in place.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Trust and investment management/wealth management experience preferred;

  • Excellent customer service skills;

  • Demonstrated personal computer literacy;

  • Ability to handle complex problems;

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills;

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with an ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management;

  • Proactive planner and self-motivated.

Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements

  • General office environment. Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required. Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required.
